Who am I & why am I here?
My name is Kit. I’m a writer and an enthusiast of history and culture. Unfortunately, I’ve never been out of the US, and have yet to really experience cultures other than my own. To fix this little issue, I’ve decided to start with England. I plan to go to England for three months to work for lodging and write about my experiences there. I want to absorb culture and history, live in the moment, and share it with all of you. With luck, I’ll be able to self-publish my travel journal (whether in hard copy or ebook format) and give you all something to read about!
Writing is my passion and it is so difficult to write effectively and accurately while existing so close to my birth environment. Help me branch out so that I can show you what a writer can do when given the chance to blossom!

Other Writing Experience
I’ve run a blog over at http://gogglesandlace.com for about two years now, and it’s housed a lot of my personal goals, loves, rants, and fiction, as well as writing advice and encouragements for aspiring fiction writers.
I’ve competed in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) four times, won twice, and wrangled an entire region of writers for two years as a Municipal Liaison.
With a close friend, I started Inkwell Imaginings, a group dedicated to helping writers refine their work and trash their fears about the process and their prose. It’s going on three years now, and has two chapters, one in MA and one in FL. With those folks, my writing wouldn’t have grown nearly as much as it has.
